Hello, World!
Welcome! I'm so excited to share my first blog post with you.
I'm starting this blog to write about homelabs and self-hosting. And to create my own little corner of the Internet.
I've been a software engineer for 8 years, a homelaber for 12 years, and a nerd for, well, a long time.
Over the years, I've read articles, listened to podcasts, and watched videos created by very talented people in the homelab and self-hosting communities. Their content has helped me set up my server, improve it over time, and overcome the many obstacles I've faced.
Along the way, I've also been able to fix issues and find solutions on my own for problems that were either too specific or too recent for others to have dealt with. While I occasionally commented on GitHub issues or opened new ones to share my findings, I've always had this voice in my head telling me it would be nice to write about this stuff.
My next posts will be about the current state of my homelab and my plan for the next project: a highly available and hyper-converged 3-node cluster with 10 Gbps networking and a 20 Gbps Thunderbolt ring network. I know, lots of fancy words, but also lots of cool stuff :)
I'll take you along with me as I go. You may or may not be looking to build the same setup as mine, but if my posts can help you learn something new, then I'll be happy.
Stay tuned!
